Morning.  I know that I said in my last post that I'd try to put things up at least a couple times a week. Clearly, I haven't done that. Trying to find the motivation to keep regular updates is difficult to say the least, between the sense that I'm not keeping up with what I need to do (so why should I devote time and effort to something not necessary?) and the feeling that no one's following this or cares, even though I know that that's not the case. The fact that sharing what goes on in my head and my perceptions of things is incredibly difficult as it is - even if I'm talking to someone I otherwise trust - doesn't make things any easier.  I'm going to try to keep things simpler, for my own sake. 

04 Mar 2017 - Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino

Hi, everyone. I'm incredibly tired, so this is going to be a brief post. Day 08 on escitalopram. As with yesterday, no more side effects, at least not anything I can notice. My mood's overall still positive; I'd rate today a 5.5 out of 10. Today was a work day - lots of studying, and some headway was made on my research grant application. I'm pleased with my progress. On a whim, I decided to get a vanilla bean creme Frapp from the Starbucks in the student center, to try something new. It was a mistake - the drink was overly sweet, left an off-putting aftertaste, and I felt a tiny bit queasy after finishing it. In December, I applied for a weekend PhD recruitment event at Cornell, and I finally heard back from the people in charge today - I wasn't selected, which is disappointing. However, reviewer comments were included in the email that was sent out. They were impressed with my application, and with the projects I'm involved with, and I'm taking t...
